Nicu Popescu: "We are with Israel and its citizens in this difficult period"
The Republic of Moldova publicly condemns the terrorist acts of Hamas and stands with Israel and the citizens of this country. The statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu. Also, the official from Chisinau sent a message of solidarity and support to his counterpart Eli Cohen.
The head of Moldovan diplomacy emphasized that we are now witnessing a tense moment in the Middle East.
"We stand with Israel and its citizens in this difficult time and recognize their right to self-defense," the head of diplomacy from Chisinau wrote on his Facebook page.
Nicu Popescu said that the embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel is on high alert and works non-stop to provide assistance and support in these critical times. Only essential consular services such as issuing travel documents are currently provided.
