Director of CNA Iulian Rusu resigned

The Parliament took note of the request for resignation of the director of the National Anticorruption Center (CNA), Iulian Rusu, and will shortly come up with a candidacy for the vacant position. This was announced by the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, in a post on Facebook.

"I took note of the resignation request of the CNA director, Iulian Rusu. We thank Mr. Rusu for his effort. In the near future, we will come up with the proposal to appoint a new director of the CNA. The expectations of the Parliament and the entire society from the CNA are very clear: increasing the speed with which corruption are investigated; stopping illegal financial flows; ensuring the integrity of the institution by boosting the reform of the National Anticorruption Center and cleaning the institution of harmful practices and characters", wrote Igor Grosu.
