Government approves the allocation of 1.3 million lei for compensation to people subject to political repression
Two people subject to political repression will receive compensation. The government approved today the draft decision on the allocation of financial means in this regard, it is 1.3 million lei.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the project provides for the allocation of financial means from the state budget.
Thus, the two beneficiaries, victims of political repression, will receive compensation for the value of the property confiscated, nationalized or removed in any way from their possession.
"The document was drawn up on the basis of Law no. 1225/1992 on the rehabilitation of victims of political repressions, according to which persons subjected to repressions and subsequently rehabilitated are reintegrated with political, social and civil rights", reads the statement.
