On Thursday, in a plenary session, the deputies will examine the motion of censure on the activities of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, submitted by deputies from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists faction. The subject was included on the agenda by the Parliament’s Standing Bureau.

BCS submitted a motion of censure on the activity of the Government of the Republic of Moldova in the meeting of October 5. The opposition has criticized the high prices of agricultural products, thermal energy and natural gas, the state's external debts, which they say have increased significantly, and they are dissatisfied with the management of the economic sector. This July, BCS submitted the first motion of censure against the Recean Government and the second against the Executive appointed by PAS. In both cases it failed.

To dismiss the Government, 51 votes are needed, which the opposition does not have.

Also in the plenary session on Thursday, the Parliament is to approve the appointment as director of the Center for Strategic Communication and Combating Disinformation of Ana Revenco and the termination of membership in the independent Commission for evaluating the integrity of candidates for the position of member in the judges' self-administration bodies and Vitalie Miron's prosecutors.

Deputies will examine two draft laws to align the national legislation with EU legislation in the field of public procurement and on the use of passenger name register data. Also, in the first reading, the draft of the Land Code and the legislative initiatives that provide for tougher penalties for drunkdriving are to be discussed.

The distribution system operators within the “Moldovagaz” group have submitted to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) proposals for amending the Investment Program for 2025 and the Network Development Plan. The initiative provides for the connection of several localities in the Security Zone and on the right bank of the Nistru to the natural gas distribution network.

The 2024 statement on property of Maia Sandu, President of the Republic of Moldova, shows a slight decrease in her income compared to the previous year. Her salary dropped to 244,931 lei from 263,407 lei in 2023. However, her daily allowances for foreign trips increased by about 5,000 lei, and reached a total of 100,176 lei.
