The Republic of Moldova switches to winter time

The Republic of Moldova will switch to winter time on October 29, the last Sunday of this month, at 4:00.

The decision was approved by the Government, being taken under the conditions in which our country's economy is connected to some elements of the European Single Market through the Association Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, simultaneously with the member states of the community bloc.

Thus, on Sunday, 4:00 in the morning will become 3:00, and this day will be the longest of the year.

The Republic of Moldova resorted to switching to winter time since 1979, in order to optimally use natural light with the aim of reducing artificial lighting.
