EU has sent over 77 thousand tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the beginning of the war
The European Union (EU) has sent over 77,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the start of the war, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wrote on Twitter. According to her, these include vital supplies such as medicine, food and shelter.
She stated that among the goods shipped to Ukraine are also firefighting vehicles, mobile hospitals and electric generators. To date, the EU, its Member States and European financial institutions have mobilized more than €19.7 billion to support Ukraine's economic, social and financial resilience. EU states also sent Ukraine arms and military materials worth around 3.1 billion euros and pledged to provide Ukraine with financial aid of 18 billion euros next year.
