War in Ukraine: Missile attack on Kharkiv region
On the morning of December 28, the Russian army bombarded the city of Kharkiv. Authorities asked residents to stay in shelters.
"Kharkov is attacked. I ask everyone to stay in the shelters and observe the precautionary measures", wrote the mayor of the town on Telegram. From 9:02 an air alert was announced for Kharkiv and the region. For several minutes, sirens went off in several regions of eastern and central Ukraine. The presidential administration of Ukraine confirmed the missile attack on the city of Kharkiv. Subdivisions of the State Emergency Service were sent to the scene. So far no casualties have been reported.
