Artur Mija: Neutrality can no longer be a solution in ensuring the security of the Republic of Moldova
Neutrality can no longer be a solution in ensuring the security of the Republic of Moldova, after the start of the war by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, said the Secretary General of the Government, Artur Mija, at the beginning of the International Conference "Development of resilience through partnerships" organized by the NATO Liaison Office in Republic of Moldova.
Also, Artur Mija said that the authorities are identifying solutions to face the challenges generated by the hybrid war from the Russian Federation.
"Since the Russian Federation cannot deploy conventional methods of war in the Republic of Moldova, they launched a hybrid war, using a wide spectrum of technologies. We have to defend ourselves against cyber attacks, paid protests, bomb attacks, energy blackmail and propaganda, election interference. We make sure that we take these threats seriously and strengthen the resilience of institutions to be able to absorb the initial shocks to ensure the functionality of services and the security of citizens", said Artur Mija.
Artur Mija said that thanks to development partners, including NATO, the Republic of Moldova increases its resilience in the field of security.
We remind you that, at the NATO Summit in Vilnius on July 11-12, the NATO Voluntary Fund dedicated to strengthening the resilience, security and defense capabilities of the Republic of Moldova was launched.
