Prime Minister Dorin Recean together with several ministers is making a working visit to Brussels

Prime Minister Dorin Recean is leaving for Brussels between October 24 and 26 on a working visit. The official is to promote the European integration agenda and will participate in the Global Gateway Forum hosted by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, with the theme "Stronger together through sustainable investments".

The working visit to Brussels includes an agenda of meetings with the heads of European institutions, including Vice-President Josep Borrell Fontelles, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy; Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, responsible for the European Green Deal, inter-institutional relations and foresight; vice-president, Vera Jourová, responsible for values and transparency; European Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni; European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson; European Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders; the European commissioner for transport, Adina Vălean; European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi; European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, Virginijus Sinkevičius, and European Commissioner for Climate Policy Wopke Hoekstra.

The program of the working visit is aimed at strengthening relations between our country and the European Union, evaluating progress in the process of implementing reforms, as well as discussing opportunities for deepening cooperation in key areas aimed at economic development, agriculture, infrastructure, energy and the environment. It is another concrete step to promote the European integration direction of the Republic of Moldova.

Also in Brussels, Prime Minister Dorin Recean will have a meeting with the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Jens Stoltenberg, with whom he will discuss defense and resilience programs, including interoperability with NATO and the organization's member countries in the context of efforts to modernize the Army National. The Prime Minister will also attend the meeting of the North Atlantic Council.

Our country's delegation includes: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Dumitru Alaiba, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu, Minister of the Environment, Iordanca-Rodica Iordanov, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Carolina Novac.

This is the fourth visit to a European capital of the head of the Executive.
