Prime Minister Dorin Recean discusses EU integration priorities and justice reform in Brussels
The Government's priorities in the process of integrating the Republic of Moldova into the European Union, the reform in the justice sector, as well as the opportunities for deepening cooperation in key areas aimed at the economic development of our country were discussed at the meetings of Prime Minister Dorin Recean with the Vice-President of the European Commission, Vera Jourová, the European Commissioner for the Economy, Paolo Gentiloni, and the Director General of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the EU, Gert Jan Koopman.
According to a Government release, the PM Dorin Recean referred to the implementation process of the 9 recommendations of the European Commission.
"The government is firmly committed to carrying out justice reform, continuing the fight against corruption and realizing the de-oligarchization plan. They are our priorities both in the process of joining the European Union and in the economic development of the country. We are counting on the support of the European Commission for the opening of accession negotiations", said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
Also in Brussels, the quoted source notes, Dorin Recean discussed the opportunities for the development of the national economy and the financial support projects of the European Union with Paolo Gentiloni, the European commissioner for the economy.
