Alexandr Pînzari is the new director of the National Anticorruption Center
Alexandr Pînzari was appointed as director of the National Anticorruption Center (CNA) for a five-year term. A draft decision in this sense was voted today by 62 deputies.
Alexandr Pînzari has been active within the CNA since 2016. Previously, he held the position of head of the General Territorial Directorate "Nord" of the National Anticorruption Center.
Recently, according to a press release from the Parliament, he was appointed to the position of deputy director of CNA, but his mandate ended by law, with the termination of the mandate of the former director, Iulian Rusu.
We mention that also in today's session of the Parliament, the deputies accepted the resignation request submitted by Iulian Rusu.
According to the legislation, the CNA director is appointed by the Parliament, with the vote of the majority of the elected deputies, for a five-year term, without the possibility of appointment for another term. His candidacy must be proposed by at least 20 deputies, with the positive opinion of the Legal, Appointments and Immunities Committee.
