The Republic of Moldova will borrow 40 million euros from the French Development Agency
The Republic of Moldova will contract a loan of 40 million euros from the French Development Agency. The project was ratified in today's meeting of the cabinet of ministers.
The money will be used to finance the budget deficit and for reforms in the energy field, said the Minister of Finance, Petru Rotaru.
"The credit agreement provides for the contracting of a loan in the amount of 40 million euros, with a maturity of 15 years, including the grace period of 5 years. The loan is to be disbursed in a single installment, the disbursement being conditional on the implementation of actions regarding the alignment of energy legislation and EU directives. The financial resources from the loan will be used to finance the needs of the state budget and it is part of the resources to finance the budget deficit for 2023", said Petru Rotaru.
We remind you that this Agreement was signed on October 17, when the fourth edition of the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova was held in Chisinau.
