Pre-vetting commission resumed the public hearings of three CSP candidates

Three candidates for the CSP will be heard by the Pre-Vetting Commission in the context of the re-evaluation procedure, after the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) admitted the appeals of some candidates for the position of member of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) and the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP).

According to the announcement of the pre-vetting commission, Anatolie Gîrbu, Cristina Gladcov and Vitalie Codreanu will be heard on November 1 and 2.

We remind you that on August 1, the Supreme Court of Justice annulled all the decisions of the independent Commission for evaluating the integrity of candidates for the position of member in the self-administration bodies of judges and prosecutors - the Superior Council of the Magistracy (CSM) and the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP).

Later, the Supreme Court of Justice came up with clarifications, noting that "it retained serious problems of legality regarding the decisions of the Pre-Vetting Commission, both on the dimension of substantive and procedural legality".
