The agreement on the participation of the Republic of Moldova in the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union was ratified by the Government. Through it, our country will be able to receive immediate help from the community block in case of crises and natural disasters.
Also, the mission will contribute to strengthening the resilience of the country's security sector in the field of managing crises and hybrid threats, said the Minister of Internal Affairs, Adrian Efros.
"The project aims to strengthen cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the EU member states and to facilitate the coordination of activity in the field of civil protection. This will improve the effectiveness of natural and man-made disaster prevention, preparedness and response systems. Through this mechanism we can consider that the Republic of Moldova is already integrated into the European Union", said Adrian Efros.
We remind you that the Agreement was signed in Chisinau on September 29, in the presence of the European Commissioner for crisis management, Janez Lenarčič.
