The country's president Maia Sandu condemns the missile attacks on Ukraine
The country's president Maia Sandu came with a message of support for Ukraine, after a new series of missile attacks on the neighbouring country was launched this morning.
"While the whole world is enjoying the joy of the winter holidays, Russia continues to bring destruction and death to Ukraine. This morning, Russian military forces launched a new series of missile attacks on Ukraine - more than 100 missiles, according to early estimates. Explosions occurred in residential areas of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv and other cities, destroying buildings and cars parked nearby. The attacks continue even at this moment, endangering the lives of people in the localities of the neighbouring country," wrote Maia Sandu on her Facebook page.
The head of state also vehemently condemns the barbaric actions, "intended to bring destruction and death".
"We strongly condemn these barbaric, unprovoked actions aimed at bringing destruction and death. The bombing of cities with peaceful people and the destruction of the infrastructure that ensures their basic living conditions, in the dead of winter, is a crime that must not go unpunished", concluded Maia Sandu.
Radio Moldova recalls that on the morning of Thursday, December 29, an air alert was announced in all regions of Ukraine. According to the media, citing Ukrainian officials, more explosions are reported in Kyiv, Odessa, Sumy, Zhytomyr.
