The Republic of Moldova benefits from a lot of support in the capitals of the European Union in the process of our country's accession to the EU bloc, but the success of the negotiations will depend on the implementation of national reforms, President Maia Sandu told Jurnal TV. Also, the head of state emphasized that the National Security Strategy is designed as a document of a country that wants to become a member of the European community.
"We will continue to work on all areas of reform, as the European Union asks us. We will continue to work with each country separately, and in the last two years we have many and powerful friends, including countries that did not really know about the Republic Moldova. It's important what we do in foreign policy, but it's even more important what we do here, at home. We'll see what the decision will be in December; I hope it will be a positive one and we'll have work to do even after this decision," he said Maia Sandu.
We remind that, in November the European Commission will publish a report on how the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine meet the conditions for launching accession negotiations. The leaders of the EU bloc are to take a decision on this at the European Council summit in December.
