The European Commission will soon publish the Enlargement Report which will also contain the evaluation of the progress of the Republic of Moldova
In just a few days, on November 8, the European Commission will publish the Enlargement Report, which, for the first time, will also contain the evaluation of the progress of the Republic of Moldova, said the head of diplomacy from Chisinau, Nicu Popescu.
The official is optimistic that, in this report, the Commission will recommend the opening of accession negotiations with our country, and that the member states of the European Union will vote in support of this recommendation in December.
"Our goal is that in this report of the European Commission, we obtain an invitation to start the accession negotiations to the European Union. Later, in December, the member states of the European Union are to express themselves on the side of this invitation and, in any case, we in the Republic of Moldova are preparing for the launch of accession negotiations", declared Nicu Popescu.
We remind that the National Action Plan for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union for 2024-2027, approved by the Government on October 27, contains about 1,200 concrete actions or laws to be implemented together with the process of accession to the community bloc.
