11 representatives of the Sansa political party, including 4 minors, were detained by the police from Balti. Yesterday evening, they were handing out electoral leaflets in support of another candidate affiliated with the outlawed "Sor" political party. The police established that the electoral leaflets were received at the office of the "Sansa" party in Bălți, for the purpose of subsequent distribution in the mailboxes of the inhabitants with the message of support for another political exponent of the same party.

The police claim that the more than 1,400 electoral leaflets picked up by the police when detaining people have visible signs of violations of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Moldova, as there is an inscription about their editing with their own equipment.

Also, monetary means in the amount of 10,800 lei, several electoral lists, contracts and public commitments of the representatives of the political party were found and seized. The Balti Police Inspectorate immediately notified the Central Electoral Commission about the detected violations.

We remind you that yesterday, the candidates nominated for the general local elections by the Sansa political party were removed from the electoral race. According to Prime Minister Dorin Recean, as well as the Intelligence and Security Service, that decision was taken for national security reasons. The representatives of the Şansă formation qualified this decision as a violation by the government of all the norms of Moldovan legislation and international law.
