The Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu voted for a mayor with managerial capabilities to transform the capital into a European city without traffic jams.
The Parliament Speaker said that he wants the municipality's problems to be resolved as quickly as possible for the benefit of the citizens.
"We want a European capital, this is possible with people who think European. As citizens we want a city without traffic jams, a clean city, with suburbs connected to the city's infrastructure. It is important to have a mayor who can attract investments and large-scale projects", said Igor Grosu.
It should be noted that the voter turnout up to this time is over 27 percent, which means that the general local elections can be considered valid. The most active are the citizens aged between 56-65, and at the opposite pole are the young people aged between 18 and 25.
