Romania can supply the Republic of Moldova with natural gas, in the event of supply problems
Romania wants to supply the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine with natural gas, in the situation where these countries will have supply problems in the cold season, reports stiri.tvr.ro. The announcement was made by the Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja, in the context in which Romania has deposits and wants to become a regional leader in the field of natural gas.
"We are about 103% full. It is true that we have shown our availability to the Republic of Moldova and to Ukraine. We showed this openness. We do not have a formal request but if in the coming months the Republic of Moldova needs it, we will help ", said Burdija.
We remind you that Romania has undertaken to fully supply the Republic of Moldova with electricity and natural gas from its own sources. A Memorandum on the strengthening of energy cooperation between both states was approved in May by the Romanian Government.
