Ukrainian Defense Minister discussed with the head of the Pentagon about the urgent needs of Ukraine
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov had a phone conversation with Pentagon chief Austin Lloyd on Saturday. The officials particularly addressed the topic of Ukraine's urgent needs, writes Rador.
"I spoke with the US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin. During our conversation, Russia attacked Kiev with ballistic missiles. We thanked Minister Austin for the air defense systems provided by the US," said Rustem Umerov.
The minister added that during the phone conversation, he informed Lloyd Austin about the current situation on the front and about the urgent needs of Ukraine.
In addition, the two officials discussed concrete steps to be taken to ensure Ukraine's victory in the war.
