Our country obtained 423 million euros more from external sources than was planned
In 2022, the Republic of Moldova obtained from external sources for direct budget support from development partners an amount of about 671 million euros, with almost 423 million euros more than was planned at the beginning of the budget year, informs the Ministry of Finances.
More than 420 million euros were transferred to the state budget after the three conferences of the Support Platform for Moldova. Additional financial means for budget support for crisis management were collected, in particular, from the International Monetary Fund - more than 90 million dollars, the World Bank - approximately 110 million dollars, the European Commission - 75 million euros, the French Development Agency – 75 million euros, to the Government of Germany – 40 million euros, to the Government of Romania - 10.49 million euros and to the Government of Poland - 20 million euros. Also, in the special account opened by the Ministry of Finance for the collection of financial donations intended for humanitarian assistance for the management of the refugee crisis in Ukraine, the amount is about 200 million lei.
