Blizzard and snowfall in Romania: Cars blocked in Suceava due to snow
The middle of November brings blizzards and snow in several regions of Romania. Meteorologists have issued yellow and orange codes of bad weather for this weekend. In Suceava, more cars were blocked due to snow.
„The Traffic Info Center of the Romanian Police General Inspectorate informs that on National Road 17, between kilometers 224 and 230, in the town of Paltinoasa, Suceava county, there is snow on the road. It is snowing in that area so, more vehicles are blocked on this section of road”, the Traffic Info Center announced on Saturday morning, quoted by Digi24.
It is also snowing in the mountain area of Suceava county, in Radauti, as well as in the Ghimes (Bacau) area. The road is mostly wet, the snow layer reaching less than 1 cm.
"In the rest of the counties from the northeastern region, it is raining lightly, there is sleet in Falticeni, Suceava, as well as in the areas of Potoci and Piatra Neamt. The temperature in the region is between -2 and +6°C" , according to News.ro.
In order to ensure traffic on Romania's national roads, several special vehicles work in those areas.
