The United Arab Emirates is transporting children from Gaza for urgent medical treatment

The first plane to transport 15 people from Gaza, including children and their families, arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday, according to CNN. These are children with urgent medical needs, including serious injuries, burns and cancer patients.

The initiative to organize this flight belongs to the President of the United Arab Emirates in order to provide medical treatment in the United Arab Emirates hospitals for 1,000 children from Gaza accompanied by their families.

Concerns about deteriorating conditions for children in Gaza continue to grow as a humanitarian crisis marked by a lack of clean water and fuel deepens. More than 12,000 Palestinians have been killed since Israel began airstrikes on Gaza on October 7, the Hamas government's press office declared on Friday. Approximately 5,000 of those killed were children.

Of the 35 hospitals in Gaza, 26 were closed due to bombing or lack of fuel, according to a report published on Friday by the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Health in Ramallah, citing medical sources in the Hamas-controlled enclave. The same source also points out that 52 of the 72 primary care clinics were forced to close, too.
