The number of Ukrainian refugee children in Chisinau schools is increasing

Every week, the number of children of Ukrainian refugees enrolled in schools and kindergartens in Chisinau is increasing, said the deputy head of the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport, Andrei Pavaloi.

According to him, 1125 refugees are currently enrolled in educational institutions in Chisinau, compared to 1116 last week.

"847 students are enrolled in secondary institutions and 278 children are enrolled in 62 early education institutions. Of them, 449 children attend the primary school, 368 students are assigned to the gymnasium level and 30 students to the lyceum", said Andrei Pavaloi.

According to official data, there are over a hundred thousand refugees from Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova, of which over 45 thousand are minors.
