German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kiev on Tuesday on an unannounced visit to reaffirm Berlin's support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian troops, AFP reports.

Boris Pistorius has arrived by train and is due to hold talks with his Ukrainian counterpart as well as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

Deputies meet in a new plenary session. According to the agenda approved by the Standing Bureau, the Parliament is to ratify an agreement that provides for Canada to offer a loan to the Republic of Moldova in the amount of 120 million Canadian dollars, the equivalent of over one and a half billion lei. The money will be used to strengthen the resilience of households, including refugees, but also to support climate resilience and the transition to green energy. On the agenda is also a project to adjust the national regulatory framework with the provisions of the European Union legislation regarding contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services. At today's meeting, the appointment of some members of the Superior Council of Magistracy is also planned. These are Sergiu Băieșu and Tatiana Tabuncic.
