The Republic of Moldova could have direct flights from Chisinau to several Arab countries
The Republic of Moldova could have direct flights from Chisinau to several Arab countries. The negotiations on these Agreements were approved today by the Government and aim to expand the air services market in the Republic of Moldova and to diversify the destinations at Chisinau International Airport, said the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu.
"We will develop and strengthen air transport relations with the Kingdom of Morocco and the Arab Republic of Egypt. This creates premises for the diversification of destinations at Chisinau International Airport and new economic opportunities for our country", Andrei Spînu said.
The Republic of Moldova has Agreements concluded in the field of air services with more than 20 countries, including Dubai, Qatar and Switzerland. The initiation of these negotiations is in line with the efforts made by the authorities to attract airlines to the country, said Prime Minister Dorin Recean. He mentioned the return of the Hungarian airline Wizzair, from December 14.
We remind you that the low-cost operator suspended its flights from and to the Republic of Moldova in March, citing airspace security reasons.
