A bus full of Moldovans, involved in a serious road accident in Romania. What is the condition of the passengers
A terrible road accident involving a coach and a car occurred on Friday evening in the town of Bohotin, Iași county. As a result of the impact, the driver of the car - a 22-year-old man - died, and the other driver arrived at the hospital. There were seven passengers with dual citizenship - Moldovan and Romanian - in the bus.
As a result of the accident, both the bus and the car were thrown off the roadway. According to witnesses, the young man driving the car was returning home from a party with friends. He was going at speed, and in a curve, on a continuous line, he entered the opposite direction and crashed into the bus that was moving regularly.
Several emergency vehicles and medical crews went to the scene.
The bus passengers were not injured and refused medical assistance. The 40-year-old driver was taken to hospital. "The patient has an abdominal contusion and suffered a panic attack. He is hemodynamic and respiratorily stable. For the other people on the bus, it was not necessary to transport them to the hospital", the UPU-SMURD Iași coordinating doctor, Diana Cimpoeșu, told news.ro.
Iași traffic police have started investigations to establish the exact cause of the accident.
"This evening, there was a road accident in the town of Bohotin, between a bus and a car on DN28. The ISU - SMURD - SAJ Iași integrated dispatcher was notified at 6:30 p.m. about the occurrence of this road accident. Two emergency vehicles with extrication modules, one vehicle for transporting multiple victims, one qualified first aid crew, the TIM crew and crews from SAJ Iași, as well as crews from the Traffic Police were urgently dispatched. When the intervention forces arrived at the scene of the road accident, there was a 22-year-old person in the car, incarcerated, and 7 victims from the bus with dual citizenship, Romanian-Moldovan, got out of the bus. The bus driver was assisted by an EMS medical crew and transported to hospital. Unfortunately, the incarcerated victim was pronounced dead. The other people refused medical assistance. We appeal to drivers to drive preventively. Let's not forget that life has priority", the IPJ Iași representatives said, quoted by BZI Iași.
