Siegfried Mureșan: EU accession negotiations will be a process of profound change in society in the Republic of Moldova
The EU accession negotiations will be a process of profound change in society, of taking over several European laws and norms, which will bring European living standards to the Republic of Moldova, just as it was in Romania. The statement was made by MEP Siegfried Mureșan in an interview for the "Zi de Zi" show on Radio Moldova. The official is confident that our country will get a favorable vote from the European Council in December.
"The EU accession negotiations will be a process of profound change in society, because the Republic of Moldova will take over European standards of environmental protection, consumer protection, quality protection. The European standard will come in the Republic of Moldova, just as it was in Romania. European recycling rules, we will see that the environment will be less polluted, we will see that more European funds will come for the modernization of roads, railways, infrastructures, etc. During the entire accession process, we will already integrate the Republic of Moldova in more and more projects, European programs even before accession," said Siegfried Mureșan.
We remind you that in October the European Parliament requested the European Council through a resolution to start accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova, the European Commission having the same opinion to start negotiations. Siegfried Mureșan said that the Republic of Moldova did everything it could and moved quite quickly, and the justice reform will be an asset in our country's accession to the European Union.
The full interview with MEP Siegfried Mureșan will be broadcast, today, in the "Zi de Zi" show, starting at 1:20 p.m., on Radio Moldova.
