Energocom returns 1 billion lei to the state budget
On Thursday, November 30, Energocom returned to the state budget the full amount of 1 billion lei provided for by the order of the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) dated September 13. The announcement was made by the company's press service on its Facebook page.
"According to this provision, the company was to acquire 1,000,000 own shares, in order to reduce the share capital, from the financial means transferred during the year 2022", reads the informative note issued by the company.
We remind that this decision was taken in the context of the relative stabilization of the natural gas market and taking into account the assurance of SA "Energocom" with sufficient reserves and liquidity for the 2023-2024 cold season.
We remind you that the measure was taken after the situation on the gas market stabilized, the purchase price decreased, but also taking into account the sufficient reserves accumulated for the next cold season.
Also, between October and December 2023, the company will procure the electricity requested by suppliers and system operators by concluding contracts based on direct negotiations or through the stock exchange.
