Titus Corlățean: Romania is ready to provide assistance to the Republic of Moldova in the EU accession process
Romania is ready to provide assistance to the Republic of Moldova when it starts negotiations for accession to the European Union, the ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Titus Corlățean, told Radio Moldova. According to him, in addition to the efforts of all state institutions, political will is also needed.
"Romania went through this process that lasts a certain amount of time. It is important to have good quality people, good expertise in institutions and to have political will. Romania had to adopt good quality laws with external expertise. Romania has always been at the disposal of the Republic of Moldova, and in order to adopt a compliant European legislation, a lot of work and political will is needed to move the ship in a good direction", said Titus Corlățean.
We remind that at the 9th Meeting of the Joint Commission for European Integration between the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the Parliament of Romania, held in Chisinau on March 28 this year, it was decided to create a department in the Parliament of Romania regarding the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European Union.
