CEC approves the institution's budget for 2024
Organizing the elections for the position of president next year will cost the budget more than 250 million lei, informs the Central Electoral Commission. This amount is more than 100 million more than the 2020 election.
According to the information published by the Central Electoral Commission, the institution's budget for 2024 will be over 426.5 thousand lei. Thus, more than 12 million lei are planned for the new and partial local elections. It is also foreseen that about 54 million lei will be allocated for the financing of the parties.
For the activity of the Commission, the expenditure budget is 90,386.64 thousand lei, and for the activity of the electoral councils of the second level, it is 14,051.94 thousand lei.
The budget of the Center for ongoing training in the electoral field is planned in the amount of over 5 million lei.
The budget estimated by the CEC will be sent to the Government of the Republic of Moldova to be included in the draft state budget and the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
