Another eight people, Romanian citizens and their families, evacuated from the Gaza Strip, arrived in Romania
A new group of eight people, Romanian citizens and their families, evacuated from the Gaza Strip, arrived in Romania on Sunday, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) from Bucharest.
According to the cited source, on Sunday, following the complex efforts of the Interinstitutional Crisis Cell, through the Romanian Embassy in Cairo and the Romanian Representative Office in Ramallah, 8 people, Romanian citizens and their family members, evacuated from the Gaza Strip, were transported to Romania.
"We mention that on December 7, 2023, 9 people, Romanian citizens and family members, arrived on the territory of the Arab Republic of Egypt through the Rafah border point, and were later taken over by the representatives of the Romanian Embassy in Egypt. They were accompanied to Cairo, from where 8 people were boarded for Romania, and one person remained in Egypt", reports the MAE.
So far, 288 people, Romanian citizens and their family members, have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip.
