Digital services are the only option for Moldovans in the diaspora to settle their legal interests in the Republic of Moldova
The digital signature gives citizens access to online services, and among its benefits are the convenience and speed of processes, said the head of the Electronic Government Agency, Olga Tumuruc, on the "Paralela 47" show on Radio Moldova. According to her, the obligation of the authorities and providers is to promote the digital model of activity.
"Electronic signature allows holders to access public services online, i.e. from the comfort of their own home, office and with much more time and effort efficiency. Digital services are still new to our citizens. Digital services also mean borderless services. For us, the Republic of Moldova, with a third of the population outside the country, I believe that digital services are the only option for fellow citizens from the diaspora to solve those legal interests they have in the Republic of Moldova and the way to keep them connected to the realities of the Republic of Moldova "said Olga Tumuruc.
Olga Tumuruc also said that the most requested digital services are the cadastral ones, namely the extracts from the Real Estate Register, requested in real estate transactions. In second place are civil status documents, followed by criminal records and social allowances. We remind that about 900 thousand Moldovan citizens have the electronic signature.
To obtain a digital signature, citizens must go to one of the two mobile phone operators authorized with this right or to the Information Technology and Cyber Security Service. People pay to get the electronic signature.
