Moldova prosecutors assembly resumes after re-evaluation
The Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) announced today that the previously postponed General Assembly of Prosecutors in Moldova will resume on December 22, 2023, at 10:00 am.
This follows the completion of the re-evaluation process for three candidates vying for membership in the CSP.
The Pre-Vetting Commission has concluded its reevaluation of Vitalie Codreanu, Cristina Gladcov, and Anatolie Gîrbu, with none of them successfully passing the process. Notably, these were the same three candidates who proposed the August postponement of the General Assembly, a proposal supported by 258 of the 466 prosecutors present.
The original convening of the General Assembly, held after a three-year hiatus, aimed to appoint new members to the CSP from among candidates who had successfully passed the external evaluation of ethics and professional integrity. This objective remains the primary focus of the upcoming meeting.
