Russia warns: Taking off of F-16s from Poland, Slovakia and Romania amounts to participation in the conflict in Ukraine

Russia will consider the possible dispatch of F-16 fighter jets from air bases in Poland, Romania and Slovakia as the involvement of these countries in the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the Russian delegation during the negotiations in Vienna on military security and arms control, Konstantin Gavrilov, speaking at the plenary session of the OSCE forum on cooperation in the security sector, RIA Novosti reports.

“We strongly warn that the use of these fighters from the territory of these NATO member countries will be considered by Moscow as their participation in the conflict in Ukraine and will force Russia to respond,” Gavrilov said.

The diplomat noted that the aggressive nature of Western policy is no longer hidden behind words about the exclusively defensive orientation of military doctrines.

“In the national and coalition doctrinal attitudes of NATO states, claims to global and regional domination are fixed, which is planned to be achieved with the use of military force,” Gavrilov explained.
