Moldova implements innovative system to ease border traffic

In a recent session, the Exceptional Situations Commission, presided over by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, greenlit essential measures aimed at easing traffic congestion at border crossings and facilitating the implementation of the Electronic Queue Programming Information System.

This innovative system empowers transporters to avoid bottlenecking border checkpoints by scheduling their crossing times online through virtual waiting lines.

Prime Minister Recean emphasised the importance of this initiative, stating, "The goal is to optimise border operations, ensuring a smoother flow of traffic and enhancing efficiency for both transporters and border control."

Additionally, the commission members have allocated financial resources to support the refugee protection system, utilising donations from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the Republic of Moldova. This allocation includes exceptional one-time payments for employees of Temporary Placement Centers for Refugees.

"The decision to allocate funds for refugee protection underscores our commitment to humanitarian efforts and aiding those in need," noted Prime Minister Recean during the commission's deliberations.

Another significant decision pertains to the donation and import of 10 vehicles to the Ministry of Internal Affairs by the police of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This gesture aims to bolster the country's law enforcement capabilities and enhance cooperation between the two nations.
