Lithuania delivers strategic resupply to fortify Ukraine's defence

Demonstrating unwavering solidarity, Lithuania has delivered a critical resupply of military equipment to Ukraine.

This latest shipment includes millions of rounds of ammunition and thousands of short-range anti-tank projectiles, replenishing vital stocks depleted in the ongoing conflict.

"Ukraine's urgent requests for assistance resonate deeply with Lithuania," stated Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas. "We remain committed to providing tailored support, aligning with their expressed needs. We urge our fellow allies to join us in standing firmly with Ukraine during this pivotal time."

Beyond ammunition, the shipment comprises approximately a thousand folding beds, prioritising the comfort and wellbeing of frontline troops. This follows the recent presentation of the first refurbished Leopard 2 tanks, meticulously repaired in Lithuania and ready to rejoin the fight.

Lithuania's cumulative defence assistance to Ukraine now surpasses €500 million, positioning it as a leading military contributor relative to its GDP. This unwavering support comes amidst a temporary pause in US military aid due to congressional considerations.

Other Baltic nations are also stepping up their military contributions. Estonia recently pledged an $88 million aid package, including Javelin anti-tank missiles and essential ammunition, further bolstering Ukraine's defensive capabilities.
