Excise duties on gasoline and diesel will be increased
From January 4, excise duties on gasoline and diesel will increase. For gasoline - from 7,082 to 7,719 lei per ton, and for diesel - from 2,980 to 3,248 lei per ton.
The prices, taking into account the new excises and margins, will be set by ANRE tomorrow, and will be applied from January 4. According to Newsmaker calculations, the planned increase in excise duties and margins will increase the cost of a litre of petrol by 0.93 lei and diesel by 0.62 lei, with other price components unchanged.
The last time, the maximum price of AI-95 gasoline of 22.62 lei per litre and of diesel of 23.18 lei per litre was set by ANRE on December 30 and will be valid until January 3 inclusive. The increase is provided for in the current version of the Fiscal Code of the Republic of Moldova.
