Vice President of the Parliament says that the Transnistrian region can contribute to the European integration of the Republic of Moldova
Economic agents, citizens and civil society on the left side of the Nistru have the freedom to come up with proposals and initiatives to support the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova, said the Vice-President of the Parliament, Mihail Popșoi for Radio Free Europe.
"We will definitely be open to use this new opportunity to bring the Transnistrian region into the constitutional field of the Republic of Moldova, not to waste this enormous opportunity, once the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova will get certain new benefits from these. These benefits must come together with the reintegration of the country. For 30 years we were the hostages of this conflict, this conflict did not allow us to develop sufficiently", said Mihail Popșoi.
Mihail Popșoi said that before the accession negotiations with the European Union begin in the practical way, a new evaluation of the fulfillment by the Republic of Moldova of the recommendations received from the European Commission in November is needed and then - the establishment of a framework for negotiations.
