Government voted: From January 1, the one-off child-birth allowance will be 20 thousand lei
Starting from January 1, 2024, the one-off child-birth allowance will be increased by 9,068 lei, from 10,932 to 20,000 lei. A decision in this sense was approved today by the Government.
The increase of the one-off child-birth allowance is one of the measures aimed at achieving the Government's Activity Program "Prosperous, Safe, European Moldova", which provides for the provision of support for families through the "Family" program, which will also contribute to strengthening the capacities of families and will reduce child poverty.
According to the estimates of the National Social Insurance Agency, in 2024, about 33,115 children will benefit from a one-off child-birth allowance.
We remind that according to the state budget called "Investing for children", in 2024 more money will be allocated for "the future of children, the generation that will build the Moldova of tomorrow".
