Festive fun on wheels: Chisinau's Santa trolley returns
The holiday spirit in Chisinau, Moldova, gets a charming boost with the return of the "Explore the City with Santa Claus" trolleybus tour.
Now in its third year, this unique initiative offers families and children a delightful way to experience the city's landmarks and embrace the joyous atmosphere of the season.
"The tour will start near the iconic Arc de Triomphe and conclude at the Chisinau City Hall," declared the Chisinau Electric Transport Authority (ETA). "And to cap off the journey, all the little ones will receive sweet treats from Santa Claus himself, adding a touch of magic to the experience."
Operating from December 24th to 30th, 2023, and continuing on January 7th, 13th, and 14th, 2024, the festive trolley will traverse the city between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM each day. Limited capacity ensures a comfortable ride for all, so booking in advance is recommended.
"Children under seven can ride for free when accompanied by a parent," the ETA added, making the tour an affordable and accessible option for families looking to celebrate the holidays together.
Tickets for a single ride cost 30 lei, offering a budget-friendly way to see the city adorned in its festive garb while enjoying the company of Santa Claus and the merry atmosphere.
