"The Third Age University" program will be expanded

"The Third Age University" concept, launched in pilot mode in the fall of this year, will continue in 2024, said the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu. According to the official, after the launch of the two courses, the ministry registered several requests from seniors, requesting the continuation of the program.

"We intend to expand this program in 2024. And now, at the ministry, we receive requests from the seniors to benefit, and from the discussions we had with the teaching staff at the university, they turned out to be the most disciplined. They are never late, they always do their homework", declared Alexei Buzu.

"The Third Age University" is part of the National Program on active and healthy aging for 2023-2027 and includes courses for digital development and communication. Starting next year, more than 1000 seniors will be trained to use their mobile phones to access social services and online payments, and 360 seniors will receive free mobile phones.
