Alaiba: Simplifying, supporting businesses drive progress in Moldova
Moldovan Minister of Economy, Dumitru Alaiba, celebrated 2023 as a year of "significant achievements and positive change" for the country's economy, pledging further advancements in the year ahead.
Despite remaining economic challenges, the year witnessed crucial steps towards a "strong and prosperous economy," as he emphasised.
Shaping a Supportive Business Environment
Among the key initiatives highlighted by Alaiba were measures aimed at simplifying and streamlining business operations. Reducing the "reporting burden" on businesses, launching the "373 government program" for supporting tech investments and job creation, and eliminating the "patent tax" were highlighted as significant achievements.
Digitalization and ODA: Catalysts for Growth
Further bolstering the business environment, the government prioritised the digitalization of public services, improving accessibility and efficiency for both businesses and citizens. Additionally, the Office for the Development of the Economy (ODA) played a vital role in offering businesses vital training, counselling, and access to funding.

Looking ahead, Alaiba expressed unwavering optimism and determination. "We are looking to the future with confidence," he declared. **
