Romanian church focuses on healing in 2024: Pastoral care, holy healers
Romanian Patriarch Daniel has delivered a New Year's message filled with warmth and spiritual wishes, extending "paternal blessings, wishes for health and salvation, peace and joy, happiness and much help from God in all good deeds" to all Romanians.
2024: A Year of Caring and Commemoration
In addition to his heartfelt blessings, Patriarch Daniel also announced the Romanian Orthodox Church's focus for the coming year. 2024 will be proclaimed as a "Year of Pastoral Care and Care for the Sick," emphasising the church's commitment to serving those in need of physical and spiritual healing. Furthermore, it will be a "Commemorative Year of All the Holy Healers without Silver," honouring the legacy of selfless medical practitioners who served with compassion and faith.
The official proclamation of these themes will take place on the first day of January, following the Holy Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral.
