Moldova's pensions: More reassessments for extended work

Moldova's National Social Insurance House (CNAS) is broadening its pension reassessment program, offering potential increases to more individuals who continue working past retirement age or contribute additional years towards disability pensions.

The program, starting January 1, 2024, now encompasses:

Previously, the reassessment program only covered retirement pensions awarded after January 1, 1999, with at least five years of additional work. By lowering the threshold and including disability pensions, the new approach extends potential benefits to a larger segment of the population.

Beneficiaries can conveniently file their reexamination requests through the "e-Request. Pension Reexamination" service on the CNAS website (cnas.gov.md) and the government portal (servicii.gov.md).

CNAS encourages eligible individuals to utilize this avenue to potentially increase their pension payouts. However, it is important to note that the actual outcome of individual reassessments depends on various factors, including accumulated contributions and past pension calculations.
