Strong explosions in Kiev following the launch of Russian missiles
Several strong explosions were heard in Kiev on Tuesday morning, while Russia launched several missiles in the direction of the Ukrainian capital, according to the Ukrainian army, informs Agerpres.ro.
Air alerts have been issued across the country due to the threat posed by Russian bombers.
On Tuesday morning, at least ten loud explosions were heard in the capital, shaking buildings in the city center.
Shortly before, the Ukrainian Air Force issued an alert message on Telegram. "Kyiv - stay in shelters. A lot of missiles are coming (at you),” the air force said.
The city's military administration indicated that fragments of downed missiles fell in various districts of Kyiv, especially in residential areas.
Mayor Vitali Kliciko said several areas of the city are now without electricity.
According to a message from him on Telegram, at least ten people were injured in the rocket attacks on Kiev.
The strikes also affected the city of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, said the head of the military organization, Oleg Sinegubov.
