Dorin Recean condemns the "brutal" airstrikes launched by Russia this morning: "Ukraine and its people will not be defeated"
Prime Minister Dorin Recean condemns the drone and missile attacks launched this morning on Ukraine. In a post on the X platform, the PM expressed the solidarity of the Republic of Moldova with the neighboring country.
"Russia's brutal missile attack against Ukraine has once again tragically led to the loss of human life in the neighboring country. We stand united in unwavering solidarity and extend our deepest condolences to the friendly Ukrainian people. Ukraine and its people will not be defeated," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
We remind you that, on Tuesday morning, Russia launched "99 missiles of various types" at Ukraine, of which 72 would have been shot down by air defense, said the head of the Ukrainian army, Valeri Zalujnii.
Ukrainian forces "destroyed 72 aerial targets," including ten Kinjal hypersonic missiles and three Kalibr cruise missiles, as well as 59 Kh-101, Kh-555 and Kh-55 cruise missiles, he said on Telegram.
Two people were killed and dozens were injured in a residential building hit in the Solomianski district, near the center, according to the latest toll published by the authorities.
Two other people were killed in the Kiev region and a third in Kharkiv, the country's second-largest city in the east, according to authorities.
