Forța Fermierilor demands the return to the mechanism of refunding excise duties for purchased diesel
The representatives of the public association "Forța Fermierilor" (Farmers' Force) urgently demand that the special margin for the sale of wholesale oil products, which does not exceed 1.5 lei per liter, be introduced into the legislation. They also demand the return to the mechanism of returning excise duties to farmers for purchased diesel, reports IPN.
The association states that, due to the increase in the commercial margin and excise duties, diesel prices have increased significantly. "Forța Fermierilor" notes that discrimination against farmers continues in the process of marketing petroleum products necessary for agricultural production.
“Currently, for unknown reasons, there is virtually no price difference when buying diesel wholesale and at the pump, which is against all business practices. Although it is obvious that in the wholesale trade the price of diesel is not influenced by the costs of transporting the fuel to the gas stations, the salaries of the pump operators and local taxes, the agricultural producers are forced to procure diesel in large volumes without any discount specific to the wholesale trade", reads a statement of the association.
The source also states that farmers entered the new year without a framework law regarding subsidies, without the Regulation with support measures for the agricultural sector and, implicitly, without certainty regarding the reimbursement of farmers' excise duties for purchased diesel. As a result, the burden of agricultural production costs increases.
