The Republic of Moldova will hold the Presidency-in-Exercise within the Central European Initiative for the year 2023. The subject was discussed during the meeting of the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, with the Secretary General of ICE, Roberto Antoneone.

"It is an important step for the Republic of Moldova, especially now that it has the status of a candidate country for accession to the European Union", said Igor Grosu.

The President of the Parliament said that the Republic of Moldova has an ambitious reform agenda for 2023.

"In the last year, the authorities have taken important steps to change things in the Republic of Moldova. We will continue to make efforts to adopt the necessary legislation in this regard to improve the quality of life of our citizens and we will succeed with the help of our development partners", said the head of the Moldovan Legislature.

For his part, the General Secretary of ICE, Roberto Antoneone, stated that the Presidency-in-Exercise within the Central European Initiative will allow our country to promote its European agenda, but will also facilitate the acquisition of experience in several key areas, including with EU member states.
